From January 2025, The Korean version of  Lower Elementary School Students( 6-9 years or 1-3rd grade) is newly released. 

The scripture passages are the same as the other QTin, but the testimonies are tailored to young kids.

A Comforting Friend

Boaz tells Ruth, who followed her mother-in-law to Israel after the sad incident, that God will reward her abundantly (v. 12). When I was in elementary school, one of my classmates was bullied by other classmates. But I also bullied that friend instead of comforting him. I pray that God will change me into a person who comforts others because now I know the God who gives and fills abundantly.

 

*Application: When a friend who doesn’t believe in Jesus is going through a difficult time, I will be there for my friend and show God’s comfort and care.

Finding My God

Ever since I was little, I followed my mom to church. When I was little, I didn’t like going to church because the worship was too long for me. But just like Ruth, I kept going to church with my mom every Sunday (v. 16) and I began to like the fun praise songs and loved seeing my teachers and friends there. So now, I love going to church every week! I always pack my own Sunday school bag and get excited for the worship. I’m so thankful that my mom’s God became my God, and that my mom’s church became my church!

“저는 5살 때 엄마, 아빠와 큐티를 시작했어요. 어른들이 보는 성경책은 너무 두껍고 어렵다는 생각이 들었어요. 하지만 《어린이 큐티인》으로 큐티하며 매일 말씀을 보고, 특히 적용 활동으로 재미있게 큐티 할 수 있어서 좋았어요. 이렇게 큐티를 하면 하나님 말씀을 매일 읽고 배울 수 있어요. 그걸로 끝나는 것이 아니라, 말씀을 나의 생활 속에서 적용하며 지킬 수 있지요!” (9세 이강준 어린이)

“부모님은 항상 바쁘셔서 저와 놀아주시는 시간이 별로 없어요. 어느 날엔 태권도장에서 생긴 멍에 대해 부모님이 들어주실 때까지 계속 말했어요. 또 남동생이 따라하지 못하는 놀이를 제가 더 잘한다는 걸 보여주고 싶기도 했어요. 부모님의 관심과 사랑을 혼자 누리고 싶었지요. 오늘 말씀에서 예수님이 ”내가 원한다. 깨끗하게 되어라.”라고 하시니 즉시 병이 사라져요(13절). 제 안에 질투하는 마음이 떠나가길 소망해요.” (8세 박다현 어린이)

“저는 하나님이 세상에서 가장 조하고 말하지만, 큐티와 기도하는 생활을 잘 하지 않아요. 그런데 오늘 말씀에서 ”이는 내 아들, 내가 택한 자이다.”라는 말씀(35절)이 제게 해 주시는 말씀 같았어요. 하지만 제가 엄마와 큐티할 때 말고는 평소에 큐티와 기도를 하지 않아서 부끄러운 마음이 들었지요. 앞으로는 저를 택해주신 하나님을 생각하며 큐티도 잘하고, 밥 먹기 전에 감사기도 할래요.” (7세 정하준 어린이)
